Use and storage method of thioglycolic acid

2024-05-09

Mainly used as a blanket finishing agent and cold liquid raw materials.
Storage Method:
Thioglycolic acid should be stored in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat source. Keep container sealed. Should be stored separately from the oxidant, do not mix storage. Equipped with the corresponding variety and quantity of fire fighting equipment. The storage area should be equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment and suitable containment materials.
Emergency treatment for leakage:
Quickly evacuate the personnel from the leakage pollution area to the safety area, isolate them and strictly restrict the access. Cut off the fire source. It is recommended that emergency personnel wear self-contained positive pressure breathing apparatus and acid and alkali resistant overalls. Do not directly contact the leakage, cut off the leakage source as much as possible, and prevent it from entering the restricted space such as sewer and flood discharge ditch.
Small amount of leakage: adsorption or absorption with sand or other non-combustible materials. Can also be washed with a lot of water, wash water diluted into the waste water system.
A large number of leaks: build a dam or dig a pit to accommodate; cover with foam to reduce steam disasters. Transfer to tank truck or special collector by pump, recycle or transport to waste disposal site.
