Natural rubber synthetic rubber imports are rising and falling

According to data released by the General Administration of Customs, the import volume of natural rubber (including latex) in China from January to August increased by 13.7% year-on-year, and the import volume of synthetic rubber decreased by 1.8%.

In August, China imported 210,000 tons of natural rubber (including latex) and imported 610 million US dollars. In the first eight months, China imported 1.37 million tons of natural rubber, an increase of 13.7% over the same period last year of 1.21 million tons. The cumulative import amount for the first eight months was US$4.58 billion, down 18.3% from US$5.61 billion in the same period last year.

In August, the import volume of synthetic rubber (including latex) in China was 111,823 tons, and the import value was 407 million US dollars. In the first 8 months, China imported a total of 950,000 tons of synthetic rubber, down 1.8% from 970,000 tons in the same period last year. The cumulative import value for the first eight months was $3.53 billion, an increase of 1.1% from $3.49 billion in the same period last year.
